June 15, 2056 marked the end of World War III on Earth. The Democracy Alliance prevailed over the Axis of Evil countries, which were crushed and occupied. In 2058, the Free Nations Union was formed, launching a new golden age for the people of Earth. By 2081, eight space exploration expeditions left the planet to seek out extraterrestial civilizations living in our galaxy. Unfortunately, the peace ended just nine years later when terrorists took control of spaceships and hurled them into Arabian and Russian oil pools and major uranium mines. By 2094, the Earth was embroiled in global economic distress, hunger and pauperization. Civil unrest abounded in even the most prosperous areas, and the Free Nations Union began to crumble. The next three years brought uprisings and war back to the world, culminating in the Phantom League - an organization of dictators who want global domination.
The Phantom League started an organized revolutionary movement that rapidly spread to the five continents. A Totalitarian regime was established in 86 countries, with the League provoking local border skirmishes with the Free Nations. A new World War seemed inevitable until 2112 when a message was received from the 7th Galactic Exploration Expedition. The explorers sent a message that they'd discovered a new solar system with resourceful planets suitable for human life. In just two years time, hundreds of millions of people began to relocate to these new worlds. With the extra resources available to the Free Nations' Union, they were able to gain complete military superiority on the Phantom League. Left with no other choice, the Phantom League went underground again with plans to spark rebellion in the new colonies.
It's 2129, and the Phantom League has struck back on planet Noble Rust, overrunning the neutral countries of that world in days. Conflicts have broken out on the other colony worlds as well. The first War for the New Worlds has begun.
